1. Definitions
In these terms:
“We”, “us”, “our” refers to Educational Voice Ltd (company number NI663300). “You”, “your”, “client” refers to the individual or organisation engaging our services or using our website. “Services” refers to any animation production, consultation, or related work we agree to provide. “Project” refers to the specific animation or consultation work agreed between us. “Deliverables” refers to the final animated content, files, and associated materials we produce for you. “Brief” refers to the written specification of requirements agreed at the start of a project.
2. Engaging Our Services
A contract between us comes into existence when we issue a written project proposal or quotation and you confirm acceptance in writing, including by email. No services will begin until we have received written confirmation of the project brief and any required deposit payment.
We reserve the right to decline projects at our discretion, without being required to give a reason for doing so.
3. Project Scope and Brief
All animation projects begin with an agreed written brief covering the objectives, target audience, duration, style, and content requirements of the animation. Work carried out outside the agreed brief, or changes requested after production has commenced, may be subject to additional charges. We will always notify you before carrying out out-of-scope work and will provide a revised cost estimate for your approval before proceeding.
4. Fees, Quotations, and Payment
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quoted fees are in pounds sterling (GBP) and exclude VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Our standard payment terms are:
A deposit of 50% of the agreed project fee is due before production commences. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final approved files. For larger or multi-phase projects, a staged payment schedule will be agreed in writing at the outset.
Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless a different term has been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Final files and deliverables will not be released until full payment has been received.
5. Revisions and Amendments
Our standard animation production process includes a defined number of revision rounds at each production stage: script, storyboard, and animation. The number of included revisions will be specified in your project proposal. Revisions beyond those included may be charged at our standard hourly rate, communicated to you in writing before any additional work begins.
A revision round constitutes consolidated, written feedback submitted in a single communication. Multiple revision requests submitted separately may each count as a separate revision round.
6. Timelines and Delivery
We will provide an indicative production timeline at the start of each project. Timelines are estimates and may be subject to change where delays arise from late provision of client materials, delayed approval of production stages, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will keep you informed of any changes to agreed timelines as they arise. Where a specific delivery deadline is critical to your project, this must be agreed and confirmed in writing at the start of the engagement.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide all materials, information, approvals, and feedback required for the project in a timely manner. Delays caused by late client responses or missing materials may affect agreed timelines and may result in additional charges. You confirm that you own, or hold the necessary rights and permissions to use, any materials you supply to us for inclusion in the animation. This includes logos, footage, music, scripts, voice talent, and brand assets.
8. Intellectual Property and Ownership
Upon receipt of full and final payment, Educational Voice Ltd assigns to you the full intellectual property rights in the final deliverables produced specifically for your project. This includes the right to use, reproduce, adapt, and distribute the final animation for the purposes outlined in the agreed brief.
We retain the right to feature completed animations in our portfolio, showreel, and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing at the commencement of the project.
Pre-existing intellectual property owned by Educational Voice, including production tools, proprietary techniques, templates, and background asset libraries, remains our property at all times. Third-party assets used in production, such as licensed music tracks or voice talent recordings, are subject to their own licensing terms. We will advise you of any third-party licensing considerations during the project.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any information shared during the course of a project that is designated as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential in nature. This obligation does not apply to information already in the public domain, or that is required to be disclosed by law.
10. Warranties and Representations
We warrant that our services will be provided with reasonable care and skill, consistent with professional animation production standards in the UK. We do not warrant that animated content will achieve specific commercial outcomes, audience response rates, or engagement metrics, as these depend on factors outside our control.
You warrant that all materials and information you supply to us are accurate, do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and do not contain anything unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us for that specific project. We will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of anticipated revenue.
12. Cancellation
If you wish to cancel a project after work has commenced, you remain liable for the cost of all work completed up to the date of written cancellation. The deposit paid is non-refundable where production has begun. We will issue a final invoice for work completed beyond the deposit amount, payable within 14 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an engagement where payment obligations are not met, or where you are in material breach of these terms.
13. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including power failures, internet disruption, extreme weather, industrial action, or government restrictions. The affected party will notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable and both parties will work in good faith to agree revised timelines.
14. Website Use
The Educational Voice website is provided for information and enquiry purposes. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that all content is current, complete, or free from error. We reserve the right to change or remove content at any time without prior notice.
You must not use our website in any way that is unlawful, disruptive, or harmful to us or to third parties.
15. Links to Third-Party Sites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites for reference and convenience. We do not endorse or accept responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any linked external sites. Visiting them is at your own risk.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland. We will always attempt to resolve disputes informally in the first instance.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of the most recent update. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

We create professional animations for businesses, educational institutions, and organisations across Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the UK. Our registered business activities cover educational support services, pre-primary and primary education content, and cultural education (SIC codes 85100, 85200, 85520, and 85600).
Our website serves as the primary point of contact for organisations interested in our animation services. It covers:
2D Animation – professional animated content for businesses, produced to broadcast quality from our Belfast studio
Explainer Videos – short, focused animations that communicate complex products, services, and processes clearly to target audiences
Educational Animation – animations for schools, universities, e-learning platforms, and training providers, informed by our founder’s teaching background
Corporate Training Animation – animated training content covering onboarding, compliance, health and safety, and skills development
Sales Animation – conversion-focused animated content that supports marketing campaigns and helps businesses communicate their offer clearly

Our Accessibility Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, produced by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological conditions.
What We Are Doing to Improve Accessibility
Descriptive alt text – images on the website have meaningful alternative text so screen reader users receive an accurate description of visual content.
Logical heading structure – pages use a consistent hierarchy of headings to help users navigate content efficiently with assistive technology.
Colour contrast – we aim to maintain sufficient contrast between text and background to support users with low vision or colour blindness.
Keyboard navigation – we work to ensure core website functions can be accessed using keyboard navigation alone, without requiring a mouse.
Readable typography – text is presented in clear, legible fonts at sizes that are readable across a range of devices and screen settings.
Responsive design – the website works across screen sizes from mobile phones to desktop monitors without loss of functionality.
Descriptive link text – links are written to make sense out of context, avoiding phrases such as “click here” wherever possible.
Multiple contact methods – we offer contact via online form, telephone, and email so that users with different communication needs can reach us.
HTTPS security – the entire website is served over a secure connection.
Known Limitations
We are transparent about where our website currently falls short:
Some older blog articles may contain images with missing or insufficient alt text. We are working through these pages progressively.
Embedded video content may not always include full captions or audio descriptions. We are improving this for newly published content.
Some PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We will address these as they are identified.
Some third-party embedded content, such as maps, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We provide text alternatives where possible.
If any of these limitations prevent you from accessing information you need, please contact us and we will provide it in an alternative format.
Accessibility in Our Animation Production
When we produce animations for clients, accessibility requirements can be built into the production brief. Options available as part of our production process include subtitles and closed captions, audio description tracks, high-contrast visual design choices, clear and legible on-screen typography, full written scripts and transcripts, and guidance on hosting and embedding animations accessibly.
If you are commissioning animation from Educational Voice and have specific accessibility requirements, please raise these during the initial briefing stage. Our animation consultation service is a good starting point for organisations with complex requirements. You can also contact us directly to discuss your project.
Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
The website is designed to work with current versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. We aim for compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver on Apple devices.
Tell Us About an Accessibility Problem
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any barrier, please contact us. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
